WHY WDSA WAS FORMED
Due the success of a women’s doubles and mixed doubles event in Denver, Colorado this past March 2007, the success of the ISDA and chatting with the girls on the amateur circuit, the Women’s Doubles Squash Association was started.
WDSA GOALS
The newly formed WDSA has three main goals:
1. To increase the number of women playing professional doubles by encouraging former college players, current teaching professionals and WISPA touring professionals to play this fabulous game.
2. Help foster and build women’s doubles on the amateur level.
3. The WDSA, corporate partners, patrons, and membership will work to establish relationships with local charities. We will keep you informed as we are on the verge of very exciting news!
WHO FOUNDED WDSA
Rob Krizek and Narelle Krizek have teamed-up to start the WDSA to provide more avenues for professional and ameteur squash women to play, grow and work with our local communities.
According to Narelle "My husband Rob and I wanted to give back to a charity particularly on the squash front. Due to the success of the Briggs Cup, it was obvious to us to link all of our events with local urban programs or with a program helping junior squash. And hopefully we can encourage more clubs to have events and help their own communities.
